Notes of Friendship: Original American Music Performed by Bulgarian Musicians

“On June 19, 2020, the U.S. Embassy in Sofia presented a livestream concert featuring the music of Dr. Gary Friedman, a medical researcher and musical composer from California. On a previous visit to Bulgaria, Dr. Friedman met a group of Bulgarian musicians, led by Professor Angel Stankov. Thanks to their shared love of music, they struck up a friendship. In this concert, Prof. Stankov and his fellow musicians performed Dr. Friedman’s music live from the U.S. Embassy. This was a special event for us, since Dr. Friedman is the father of our own Deputy Chief of Mission, Justin Friedman. Please enjoy this concert.”
