Variations on Eliahu, a Passover Theme
The piano part of the cello/piano duet listed below was orchestrated in 2009 for a performance by Ken Hoppe, cello, and the College of Marin Symphony, Tara Flandreau, conductor. The form and harmonies of this piece are mostly traditional, but there are a few surprises. There is a "cantorial" cello cadenza. One of the performances is available on YouTube
